School of Education (SOE); However, IGNOU takes admission into its Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed) course every year usually in the month of August through an
entrance exam/test. Thousands of Applicants appear in IGNOU B.Ed Entrance
Exam/Test that is held in different Regional study centers of university. Only
those candidates can participate in the entrance exam/test that fulfills the
eligibility criteria as per IGNOU norms. Generally Admit cards for the B.Ed
Entrance Exam are made available 10 days before the Entrance Exam Date and
admissions are made on merit obtained by the candidates in the B.Ed Entrance
Exam.

Open University (IGNOU) offers 2 years B.Ed course as a distance mode.
IGNOU Bachelor of Education
(B.Ed.) Programme focuses on building up a healthy understanding and skills
needed for this profession especially for maintaining effective
teaching-learning process at the secondary stage. IGNOU B.Ed programme also
helpful for those practicing teachers who want to gain effective learning methods,
experiences and provide an understanding of different areas like:
educational evaluation, school management etc. IGNOU offer B.Ed programme
under distance learning mode and medium of instruction are both in English and
Hindi. Today we are going to cover a detailed post on IGNOU B.Ed admission

IGNOU B.Ed Admission Procedure
Admission Procedure for
the IGNOU B.Ed Programme is very easy However, admissions conduct Regional
Centre-wise on the basis of the score obtained by the candidates in the
entrance test. There is no minimum or maximum limit for the age to take
admission in the IGNOU B.Ed Programme. Applicants/Candidates are only required
to submit the duly filled application form with attested copies of required documents
as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. After entrance test & getting
selected candidates will receive an offer letter for admission from the
Regional Centre, then original documents will be required to submit.
IGNOU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have possessed following eligibility criteria defined
by IGNOU for B.Ed Programme:
1. A Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Degree from a Recognize University in any discipline with 50% of marks.

2. Years full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school and candidate should be in service at the time of submitting application form & producing the original documents at the Regional Centre. The certificate of experience should be issued by the Principal or Headmaster/ Headmistress only.
In Case of reservation, for SC/ST/O.B.C (Non-Creamy Layer)
candidates and other categories shall be done as per Central Government rules.
5% percent marks relaxation in favour of SC/ST/Kashmiri
Migrant and other categories candidates, if any, as per Govt. of India Rules.
IGNOU B.Ed Fee Structure

IGNOU B.Ed: Course Duration
Minimum duration of the B.Ed programme is 2 years. On the other hand, Maximum period is 4 years for completing the course.
IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam
Every year Entrance Test for B.Ed programme is being held usually, in
the month of August and Hall tickets are made available to the candidates
before 10 days of the Entrance Test. Candidates can download Hall Ticket from
IGNOU website, In case of non-receipt of Hall Ticket and further, report to Regional
Examination Centre for appearing in the Entrance exam.
